Linda began her
new adventure in June 2005 at the Olathe Farmers Market, where she started out with
only three items, Banana Nut Bread and Zucchini Bread, along with Blackberry
Jelly, which is now famous throughout the community. It went so well that she
decided to turn it into a business. Her love for baking has now transpired into
a dream.
Her delights include such
goodies as homemade sweet breads, pies, muffins, fruit, vegetable and deli trays, etc. She also offers a
homemade salsa that is recognized throughout the community. Her favorite items
on the menu are Double Carrot Bread and Lemon Bread. It's a toss-up! Her
product is sure to please any crowd. She hopes to bring a line of sandwiches and
soups by mid-summer.
Her business is home-based and
includes two family members. "Without their help, I couldn't keep up with
the pace," said Linda. Her target market is catering to any office for morning
or afternoon meetings, business gift baskets, or for personal requests such as
family reunions, personal gift baskets, etc. She also still attends the Olathe
Farmers Market on Saturdays. Also, she is a proud member of the Olathe Chamber
of Commerce, Lenexa Chamber of Commerce, and Gardner Chamber of Commerce. "Whatever the purpose, I'm here to
